Picking the Best Ram for Gaming

Picking the Best Ram for Gaming - Hermes Advancement

Choosing the right RAM for your computer can be a daunting task. With so many options available, it's easy to get overwhelmed. But fear not! We will guide you through the process of selecting the perfect RAM for your system.

Where to start?

The first thing you should do is check your motherboard manufacturer's website to see what kind of memory is compatible with your motherboard. This will help you determine whether you need DDR4 or DDR5 RAM. Additionally, you should also check which RAM timings are compatible with your motherboard.

How much memory do you need?

When it comes to gaming, modern games require at least 16 GB of RAM. It is recommended to have two 8 GB sticks to take advantage of dual-channel memory. However, if you want to future-proof your system and ensure smooth performance, 32 GB of RAM (2x16 GB sticks) is the way to go.

What about the speed?

For DDR4 RAM, a good sweet spot for gaming is getting 3200 MHz or 3600 MHz memory. These speeds offer a good balance between performance and cost. However, if you are considering DDR5 RAM, keep in mind that it is relatively new, and finding the perfect sweet spot is still a work in progress. As of now, we can suggest aiming for 6000 MHz sticks. If that's too expensive for you, 5600 MHz sticks are a good alternative.

What brands do we personally use in our sold gaming computers?

When it comes to memory sticks, there are countless brands to choose from. But here at Hermes Advancements, we have found our go-to brands that we trust and rely on: Team Group and Crucial. These two brands have consistently provided us with high-quality memory sticks that have never let us down. We have been using Team Group and Crucial memory sticks for years. Their consistent performance and reliability have earned our trust, and we have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
